One room available from the 25th of July in a large, 3 bedroom, solid brick house in Thornbury. Our house is in a prime location just off St Georges Rd in Thornbury – great for public transport into Fitzroy and the city, and walking distance to High St. We are literally a 2 minute walk from the 112 Tram, and 5 minute walk to the train.
The bedrooms are all generously sized. The house has a great layout and lots of living space. The house features ducted heating and cooling, as well as a gas oven/cooktop and gas hot water heating. All bills are shared and we have unlimited ADSL 2 for $20 a month each. There is a large living room that is a great place to have interstate visitors come and stay in and the living room opens out to a cute little porch out front.
Out back there is a verandah where we like to have BBQs and this flows out into a nice garden, in which we are currently growing some chillies and herbs. Underneath the carport is a table tennis table and the garage has been converted into a music room complete with acoustic baffling, as well as our collection of instruments. You don't have to be musical to live here and often this room is used as a study by the departing house member.
Your housemates will be Gerald and Alex who are in their late twenties/early thirties. Gerald is a teacher and musician, who plays a wide range of instruments from keyboard, to guitar and drums. Alex works in retail selling videogames and likes to play his electronic drumkit and sometimes pretends to know how to play the keyboard too. We are both pretty relaxed and are happy to hang out and chat but we also respect each other's need for space as well. We like to keep shared spaces spick n span so everyone can use them.
$780 per calendar month (approx $180 per week) + bond ($433.35)
